Learning isn’t just about what’s learned in the classroom; it’s also about having fun! Engaging in various activities boosts students’ motivation while allowing them to decompress, collaborate and have fun. In light of this, the Department of Computer Science organized enjoyable event for BCA and PGDCA students. This activity was conducted which was comprised of various fun games. Students have actively participated in all the games.

The first game was “Passing the Ball”. This was unique team building activity for the entire group of students. Two teams were formed with equal number of students in each team and were standing in queues parallel to each other. Each team handed over a ball. Both teams have to pass the ball from one person to other within their team in queue order. Team reaches the winning point first wins the race. Passing a ball teaches the students about sharing, playing together and being inclusive.

The second game was “English-Vinglish” in which the students had to form a circle. They were supposed to count the numbers starting from 1. The twist in the game was, the number should be pronounced alternately in English and Hindi. The student who makes mistake will be out. Students need to concentrate on playing this game wisely.

The third game was “The Number Game”. This game was a perfect icebreaking activity to energize the students and fill the room with smiles. In this game, various groups were created, each with ten players. The pupils were given the numbers 0 to 9, and they were to arrange them using the provided numbers. The team which was arranged first was the winning team.

Last game was “Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes and Cup” in which the students face each other forming two vertical lines and the leader calls out parts of the body like Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes etc. randomly. When a part of the body is called the participants must touch that part with both hands. As soon as the leader calls out the word Cup, the player has to pick the cup up. The player that picks up the cup wins, the player without the cup is eliminated.

This event was appreciated and enjoyed by all the students. All the teachers of Computer Science Department have worked hard towards the planning and execution of the event. The program ended up with a gratitude and encouraging message by HOD, Mrs. Pooja Rathi.
